Short bio:
Arthur Sousa de Sena is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the 6G Flagship program at the University of Oulu, Finland. He has been actively researching and supervising students on cutting-edge subjects for future communication systems, encompassing reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs), next-generation multiple access schemes, massive and holographic MIMO technologies, and their intersection with machine learning techniques. He is a researcher in the EU-funded Hexa-X-II project and joint research initiatives with the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative at Virginia Tech, USA. He received his D.Sc. degree (with distinction) in Electrical Engineering from LUT, Finland, in 2022 and the M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Teleinformatics Engineering and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Ceara, Brazil, in 2019 and 2017, respectively.
Dr. Sena was awarded the Brazil Scientific Mobility Program scholarship from August 2014 to December 2015. He received the Nokia Foundation Award in October 2020, the LUT Research Foundation Award in December 2020, and the IEEE GLOBECOM Best Paper Award in December 2022. He has authored several peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals and flagship conferences. He is a member of the IEEE and the IEEE Communications Society.
